11,000 runners compete at MetaSports Marathon Ha Long
The MetaSports Marathon Ha Long 2023 will take place on September 10. In addition to individual registered runners, many clubs across the country gathered in groups of thousands of members, buying tickets to the tournament very early. The organizers closed the gates for all distances on August 16 - nearly two months before the race day - due to the sufficient number of athletes and to ensure general safety on the day of the race, careful preparation of items and utilities.
This year, the tournament takes place in the early fall, the weather is cooler. This is the reason why many people choose to return to Ha Long. "Last year I played in July, the weather was hot, so I didn't reach my goal. This time the weather was more favorable, so I want to win PR on a beautiful road in Ha Long", Mr. Hoang Phuong (Ha Ha) Inner) share.
In addition to the professional factor, there are many reasons why MetaSports Marathon Amazing Ha Long has become the first choice of runners nationwide. Besides participating in the running festival, runners coming to Ha Long also enjoy the city's diverse tourism, cultural and culinary facilities.
"Last season, I was able to run through a series of famous places such as Dolphin Palace, Ha Long Bay, Bai Tho Mountain, Tuan Chau Island... The road was like a tour, very interesting feeling. That's the reason. because this year I came back and invited my wife to run 42km", said Mr. Hoang Hung (Hai Phong).
Ha Long is a tourist city with a well-developed service system and infrastructure, meeting the entertainment and accommodation needs of a large number of tourists. Visitors coming here to run the tournament can spend time swimming, kayaking, night squid fishing, climbing mountains.
Currently, BTC is coordinating with the locality to build expo, ensuring the safety and security of the running track. Following the tournaments in Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, MetaSports Marathon Ha Long will improve utilities, increase the number of water stations, toilets, and medical stations. The system of navigational signs, instructions, cut-off time signs located at important points have been upgraded for easy identification.
MetaSports Marathon is a running system operated and owned by MetaSports Newspaper and FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company (FPT Online). The award is held annually in attractive tourist cities such as Quy Nhon, Hanoi capital, Hue ancient capital, Ha Long, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
With relentless community building efforts, MetaSports Marathon received the Silver award at the Asian Media Awards 2021 by the World Press Association WAN-IFRA. All running tracks of the MetaSports Marathon system have been, are and will be certified by AIMS-World Athletics (licensed by the International Marathon Association and the World Athletics Federation).
