2,600 children participate in Kun Marathon Quy Nhon 2023

With the number of 2,600 children, Kun Marathon Quy Nhon is the second largest tournament ever held before the MetaSports Marathon, after Kun Marathon Hue 2023 (3,000 runners). Previously, the organizers gave away 1,000 early runs through minigames on the Facebook platform. The remaining 1,000 seats are through the official registration portal. However, the number of parents and young runners has a great need to participate, so the organizers decided to increase 600 seats.

Ms. Phan Nguyen Xuan Anh, from Quy Nhon, registered for 5 children in the extended family to participate. This is the second time that her children have the opportunity to run the Kun Marathon after 2022. She said that every day she goes to the tournament fanpage to wait for the gate to open because a little bit of delay will lose her place. "When the registration was successful, the whole family was very happy. There are not many competitions for children in Quy Nhon. The children heard that they were running with their friends, they were excited, and they invited each other to practice every day," she shared.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hoang Tuan Viet, from Ho Chi Minh City, brought his family of 4 to Quy Nhon for this occasion to travel and combine jogging. He and his wife ran 10km together at the MetaSports Marathon while their two sons aged 9 and 6 participated in the Kun Marathon. This is the second time the children have participated, after the Kun Marathon in Ho Chi Minh City in February. After the tournament, the two children are more interested in sports and often invite friends to race after school. "When I asked if they wanted to participate again, the children all nodded. The whole family felt that the children became more active. This time the two children worked hard because they wanted to win the prize", Mr. Viet shared.

Kun Marathon Quy Nhon takes place on June 10, one day before VM Quy Nhon 2023. The organizers will distribute Bib and race-kit to successfully registered runners from 8am on 9/6. Children will receive colorful competition shirts divided by age. This year's running jerseys are designed with a unique gradient effect that stands out on the track. The children will be divided into several runs according to age, in turn conquering the nearly 1km long coastal track. Along the way are challenges that require them to combine speed, strength, and dexterity to overcome. Successfully conquering the challenges, they receive medals and finisher items. The children who finished first each run also received many valuable gifts from the organizers.

In addition to running, children also have the opportunity to interact and take photos with famous people.
