According to the latest updated list from the organizers of the Hanoi night run, the Northern region has 38 participating teams, accounting for the largest number. New names appearing include Thai Binh Runners, EVN Hanoi & Friend, Dang Xa Runners, Thanh Tri Runners, Cam Pha Runners, Van Quan Runners, Bac Ninh Run, Duong Runners, Soc Son Running Team, My Dinh Runners, An Khanh Runners, Northern Alliance, 4AM Runners, Vinhome Ocean Park Runners.
In the central region, Thanh Hoa Runners participated for the first time and was assessed as having the ability to create surprises because of the methodical investment in recruiting personnel and training plans. They aim to have a spot in the top 10 overall.

Retreating to the southern region, Toc Sport - Van Phuc Runners is the new representative, attending the tournament for the first time. This group gathers many prominent names, with a clear training plan for members in each stage, promising to create surprises.
The two remaining representatives of the South - Binh Duong Running Club & T-Coaching and Ultrain, who were also the winners and runners-up last season, continued to attend the tournament with the determination to take the highest position. In it, the BDRC and T-Coaching alliance added sub3 running pins to the lineup. Team competition is a "specialty", only available at MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight. In 2022 for the first time, this content attracted 36 groups to participate. Each team needs 20 official athletes and 5 substitutes. In which, 10 people registered for the 21km distance with at least 4 women and 10 people for the 42km distance, with at least 2 women. Each person can only participate in one team, one distance and must register for Bib in the period from January 31 to February 28. Athletes from groups will still compete in individual tournaments as usual.
The team category is only open to movement players, so professional runners, who are members of teams or receive support, receive salaries (official contracts, collaborators) of any team , professional sports clubs (according to article 49 of the Law on Sports 2006) in Vietnam are not allowed to participate in the group. This is to ensure that the competition between the teams is an attractive race exclusively for amateurs and non-professionals, encouraging movement sports.
On the day of competition, the athlete must complete a valid race according to the rules of the tournament. If a team member violates the tournament rules (DNQ - did not qualify) such as: receiving support from outside the organizers, taking a shortcut, not following the running track, not passing the chip mat, not complying settlement regulations; If you do not start properly (DNS - did not start) or run beyond the specified time (COT - cut off time), BTC will not accumulate team achievements.
Similar to the previous year, the race rankings are based on the total competition time of the 20 completed members.
