65,000 runners complete 2.2 million km at FPT Run

This is the information announced by the organizers during the awarding ceremony of stage 1 and stage 2 for FPT officers and employees with excellent achievements at the "35-year FPT - Happy Footprint" award, which took place on the afternoon of the 25th. /7 in Hanoi. The running race was launched by FPT Corporation, starting from March 3. After four months, the event attracted 65,000 runners from all provinces and cities across the country. Runners in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Germany, Slovakia, USA, Morocco, Turkey, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia.... also contributed significantly to this result.

At the end of stage 1 (from March 3 to May 2), 55,403 runners have completed a total distance of more than 1 million km. The best individual runner is Huynh Tan Hoi with nearly 1,300 km. The rest of the athletes in the top 10 all reached 1,000 km.

In the collective category, FPT Telecom is the leader. Company officers and employees completed 275,219 km. This is also the unit with the most sports activities in FPT Corporation, the running movement blossomed quite early. Since 2018, they have carried out the relay journey from Lang Son to Ca Mau.

"Running helps break the gap between leaders and employees. We can share many aspects of our lives, so running activities at the company are very exciting," said Mr. Chu Hung Thang, Deputy General Director of FPT Telecom said. In the next stage, which took place from May 3 to July 2, the runners completed nearly 1.2 million km. The individual who runs the most is Tran Sy Hung. He accumulated nearly 900 km. This group of top 10 runners has quite a fierce competition, all of them have a track record of chasing the leader until the last days.

The highest position, the category of the 2nd stage collective award belongs to FPT Education. The second place belongs to FPT Information System. FPT Head Office finished stage 2 in third place.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Deputy General Director of FPT shared, when launching the campaign, the group's leaders were not sure if they could achieve the goal of 3.5 million km. "After two races, we are confident that we can do it. On behalf of the group's leadership, I urge the units and runners to continue promoting the spirit of the tournament, contributing as much as possible to support. children in difficult circumstances and celebrate FPT's 35th birthday," said Mr. Viet Anh.

To fuel the runner's fire in the final leg, the organizers invited to the award ceremony of runner Dinh Linh - Doctor of Vietnam National Heart Institute, lecturer of Cardiology Department of Hanoi Medical University and runner Hoang Xuan Van Anh - Community Admin Heart rate jogging. During more than 30 minutes of conversation, the two runners had many useful sharings about training methods, recovery methods and competition experiences.

At the end of the ceremony, more than 50 awards were given to individuals and groups with excellent achievements in stages 1 and 2 of the 35-year FPT running - Happy Footprints. Top 30 best FPT individuals at member companies in the following categories: excellent achievements in races, excellent achievements in challenge, inspiration... received a trophy with the picture of "running man" and an FPT shirt. This is a race in response to the series of events to celebrate the 35th anniversary of FPT Corporation and the 13th anniversary of FPT for the community. Each runner completing a kilometer on "FPT Run - Happy Footprints" corresponds to contributing 1,000 VND to the Hope Fund. With the plan to run 3.5 million km until the grand finale on September 2, BTC hopes to raise 3.5 billion - the amount sponsored by FPT Corporation.

"FPT 35 years - Happy Footprints" will take place over the course of 6 months with 3 stages named "Pride FPT", "Flying together" and "Shared happiness". The money raised is used to build a new school, build a boarding house, build toilets - school facilities for children in the highlands.
