Arsenal kept their form with a fifth straight win, the third time they have done so this season. Fulham in the absence of pillars Willian and Joao Palhinha, could not cause difficulties for the visitors as declared "want to win" by coach Marco Silva before the match. The match ended at half-time, when Trossard assisted Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard respectively to help Arsenal win 3-0.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023, immediately adapting to the style of the team holding the top of the table. Before the ball rolled, coach Mikel Arteta said that Trossard is very important for the visitors. Indeed, he fought in most of Arsenal's dangerous situations. The Belgian striker also made history when he became the first player to create three goals in the first half away from home in the English Premier League.

Arsenal started the game slowly but they put the ball into the net in the first situation to increase the tempo. In the 16th minute, Martinelli went down the left border and then turned and cut his heart to the far corner, goalkeeper Bernd Leno pushed the ball out and hit defender Antonee Robinson's foot and bounced back into Fulham's net. However, the goal was disallowed because Martinelli was offside.

The away team only had to wait another five minutes to celebrate. From Trossard's corner on the left, center-back Magalhaes headed high from about 5 meters into the far corner, Leno touched the ball but could not save. This is the third goal of the Brazilian midfielder this season, all three points for Arsenal against West London clubs.

Arsenal also took just five more minutes to score a second, also from a header. Center-back William Saliba launched the attack for Granit Xhaka to pull the ball up. The ball was sent to the left for Trossard to cross into the range Martinelli headed from close range into the empty net of Fulham. This is Martinelli's fifth goal in the last five matches in the Premier League.

Fulham did not have a shot in the first half hour of the ball rolling. Their best opportunity came in the 42nd minute when goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale passed the ball straight into Andreas Pereira's feet but the Brazilian midfielder shot out in front of an empty goal. The home side had to pay as soon as four minutes when Arsenal scored the third. Trossard ran up the left side of the field and crossed for Odegaard, let the Norwegian midfielder calmly support his chest, faked the removal of two Fulham defenders and then shot to the far corner to fix the score. After a string of underperforming games at the beginning of the year, Odegaard has scored twice since the beginning of March.

In the second half, Arsenal played slowly and preserved the score. Both teams created dangerous chances but failed to score. With Fulham, midfielder Tosin Adarabioyo's header hit the crossbar after 69 minutes. And striker Gabriel Jesus also missed the opportunity to face 85 minutes. Jesus returned to play for the first time since the match for Brazil at the 2022 World Cup. on 2/12.

At the end of the game, an unbelievable situation appeared when midfielder Fabio Vieira stumbled quite clearly, but referee David Coote gave the visitors a free kick. However, this situation did not lead to a goal.

Arsenal will have to win Sporting Lisbon in the second leg of the 1/8 round of the Europa League at Emirates Stadium on the evening of March 16 to continue, after drawing 2-2 in the first leg. Three days later, they received another London club, Crystal Palace, in the 28th round of the English Premier League.
