Arsenal win the most in the Premier League
Arsenal won the above 15 points from Fulham 2-1, West Ham 3-1, Man Utd 3-2, Aston Villa 4-2 and Bournemouth 3-2 respectively. A total of seven games Arsenal are behind in the Premier League this season, but they have only lost two and won five, without a draw.
In the last eight matches, Arsenal have won three times when they were behind. Their decisive goals in these three games all came from the 90th minute onwards, thanks to the help of Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and an own goal from goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
At the Emirates Stadium on March 4, Philip Billing opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the first minute, before Marcos Senesi scored the second for the visitors in the 57th minute. Thomas Partey pulled back a goal for Arsenal five minutes later, then Ben White equalized the score 2-2. In the seventh minute of compensation, Nelson created a masterpiece to retain three points at the Emirates.
This is the first time Arsenal have won three points when they are two goals behind since a 5-2 win over Tottenham in February 2012. After that, they went through a 65-game winless streak when the opponent led 2-0.
The history of the Premier League has only recorded two cases where the team scored a goal in the 90th minute onwards, when they were leading in the first minute. Arsenal appeared on both occasions, with wins over Fulham in August 2007 and now Bournemouth.
The dramatic reverse victories of Arsenal brought many emotions to experts and former players. Former striker Paul Merson said on Sky Sports: "Winning like this for Arsenal makes me feel this season is to honor the team. If Arsenal win the next three games, nothing will stop the teachers and students. Mikel Arteta won."
Witnessing Nelson's goal, former striker Ian Wright could not keep his composure and danced continuously while watching with BBC experts. Former midfielder Danny Murphy even said that he jumped to celebrate Arsenal's goal, despite playing for rival Tottenham team. "That's why we love football," Murphy wrote.
In the next three matches, Arsenal meet Fulham, Crystal Palace and Leeds respectively in the English Premier League. In between these matches, Arteta's teachers and students also met Sporting in the 1/8 round of the Europa League.
