While trying to block an opponent's shot at the NBA All-Star Game, LeBron James injured his finger and hand when he got stuck on the rim of the basket.

Injury at the NBA All-Star Game is something no one wants to see. First of all, this is the place where the top superstars converge, often the indispensable pillars of the teams they play for. Second, this match usually doesn't place much emphasis on winning or losing.

But something no one wanted happened and it accidentally came to one of the brightest stars not only at the All-Star Game but also in the whole NBA, which is LeBron James.

In an attempt to defend and execute the trademark chase-down block, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar and Team LeBron captain suffered a finger injury.

The situation that led to LeBron James' injury

The slow-motion video shows that the jumping momentum and great inertia caused LeBron's hand to hit the rim quite hard. Immediately after the injury, James shook his wrist a little to check the situation, then played a short time before leaving the field.

After discussing with the medical team, LeBron James decided to sit out the second half of the NBA All-Star Game 2023. He closed the match with 13 points in 14 minutes, reaching 6-11 FG (1-5 3PT) and have 4 more assists.

This is obviously ominous news for Los Angeles Lakers fans because the Crypto.com Arena home team is about to enter the sprint phase of the Regular Season.

It is not clear if this injury will cause LeBron James to miss the game or not, but more or less it will affect the performance of the "king" because he has pain in his right hand.

The Lakers are currently 13th in the rankings with a 27-32 record. In order to get into the Playoffs or at least be in the Play-in group, the yellow and purple shirt team needs to win as many victories as possible after the All-Star break.

After the NBA All-Star 2023 series of events close, the Los Angeles Lakers will have 3 days of rest before playing on Friday, February 25, against the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
