The Camp Nou team gave the green light for PSG to recruit French player Ousmane Dembele within five days.

According to the Spanish press, Dembele has reached a personal agreement with PSG and promoted his desire to leave with the host club. The 26-year-old striker wants to sign a 5-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions to return to his homeland to play after 9 years of traveling abroad. Dembele played for Dortmund in the 2016-2017 season before playing for Barca ever since.

Initially, Barca did not want to sell Dembele. Accordingly, PSG will have to wait until August, when the French player's contract has a new release clause, worth $ 109 million, to activate. However, Dembele wants to leave Barca peacefully. The striker wants the two clubs to negotiate and agree on his case.

Barca will give Dembele and PSG five days to negotiate. The Catalan team thinks that letting the 26-year-old winger leave is the best option for the parties. Barca will have more budget to pursue transfer targets like Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo or Ivan Fresneda.

From the proceeds of the sale of Dembele, Barca can also renew with Ronald Araujo, Sergi Roberto, Marcos Alonso, Inaki Pena and Alejandro Balde. They can also bring rookie Vitor Rogue to Camp Nou soon instead of having to wait until 2024 like the current agreement with Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense.

If Dembele leaves, Barca can think of signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid to replace him. The Portuguese striker expressed his desire to leave and was offered by his agent Jorge Mendes to Barca. In early July, Felix shocked the world with the statement that playing for Barca was his childhood dream.

During this time, Dembele still toured with Barca in the US. On July 30, he scored the opening goal in a friendly match, defeating Real Madrid 3-0. Instead of returning to Europe to wait to join PSG, Dembele boarded a plane with Barca to Las Vegas to prepare for the match against AC Milan.
