Bayern give Tottenham a day to decide on Kane
The Bundesliga champions want to settle the deal this week, in order to have time to prepare when the 2023-2024 Bundesliga season will start in two weeks.
Tottenham is said to demand 128 million USD. Bayern's latest offer is only 110 million USD immediately, but if you include the surcharge based on the 30-year-old striker's contribution, it is 22 million USD. This number exceeds the level Tottenham want, but the English club still hesitates, has not agreed to sell.
Kane is said to be anxious to move to Bayern. Bayern leaders have stated that if the England striker keeps his word, he will play at the Allianz Arena next season. Kane's contract has only 12 months left, meaning Tottenham could lose the number one striker in history without earning any money if they prevent him from leaving this summer.
Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel wants Kane, who has refused to extend his contract with Tottenham. He urged the club's leadership to quickly complete the deal. Therefore, the directors of the German team arrived in London on Monday for a meeting with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
Previously, Bayern made an offer of $ 104 million but was rejected. According to Sky Sports, "Bavarian Gray Lobster" quickly raised the asking price to 110 million USD, but confirmed that this was the last offer. If not, Bayern will find another transfer target.
Many clubs, including the big ones in England, are interested in Kane. However, Levy's attitude of not selling to competitors led them to turn their attention to other goals. Man Utd spent $83 million to buy 20-year-old Danish striker Rasmus Hojlung from Atalanta. If Kane cannot be recruited, Bayern can switch to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Bayern are expected to sign a five-year contract with Kane. The England striker will become a record contract in the history of the top German club. The most expensive player Bayern have bought so far is French defender Lucas Hernandez, who spent $89 million when he moved from Atletico in the summer of 2019.
