Binh Duong withdrew from the National U17 tournament because the player had to retake the exam
"The organizers received a letter from Binh Duong asking to withdraw from the National U17 finals this morning of March 6. Some of their players had to retake the semester in the culture class, so the team did not have enough troops. I have discussed with the club's leaders, sympathetically should accept," said VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.
Previously, Binh Duong finished the qualifying round with 14 points after 8 matches, ranked second in Group E with one point worse than Binh Phuoc, winning tickets to the final round.
The organizers decided to invite Ha Tinh to replace Binh Duong in the final round. This is the third best team in the 6 groups in the qualifying round, with 14 points.
The final round of the National U17 - Thai Son Nam Cup 2023 will take place from March 10 to March 21, with 12 teams, divided into three groups. Teams compete in a one-round round-robin format, selecting the first and second teams in each group and the two better third-placed teams to advance to the quarter-finals.
HAGL had difficulty falling into "group A of death" with the defending champion PVF, the third-placed team last season against Hanoi and Da Nang. The German football team will play the opening match against the host PVF on March 10.
SLNA is the most successful team in the National U17 Championship with 8 championships. This year, the team is in Group B with Hue, Khanh Hoa and Dong Thap. Group C has the presence of Ha Tinh, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City and Viettel.
National U17 is an annual tournament organized by VFF, in order to create conditions for training and professional development for young players, and at the same time to help clubs create resources for the future.
