CAHN defeated Hanoi FC, taking the top spot in the V-League 2023
Hanoi Police (CAHN) entered the match with a surprise when Nguyen Quang Hai was on the bench, but played against Hanoi FC in the early stages. In the 16th minute, Raphael Success turned the ball to trick both Duy Manh and Jevtovic on the left wing, then smoothly crossed for Gustavo Henrique to head close to the goal to open the scoring.
In the stalemate, Hanoi FC found the equalizer from the long ball. From home, Duy Manh waved for Herlison Caion to control it neatly in front of the penalty area, before passing it to Jevtovic, who was crossing the right wing to finish off the corner to beat Filip Nguyen. The first half ended with a speeding phase and then finishing on the right wing of Van Thanh, but it was not enough to make it difficult for Bui Tan Truong.
In the second half, CAHN continued to find an early goal. Doan Van Hau hit a good match with Jhon Cley on the left wing and then crossed into the 5m50 circle. Hanoi FC defender was surprised while Henrique came up from behind the back of the ball to increase the score to 2-1. In the 60th minute, Success had a chance to score the third goal, but the ball over the head of goalkeeper Tan Truong went out.
Hanoi FC also regretted when Van Quyet missed a delicious opportunity in the 70th minute. Caion and Jevtovic passed the ball with their heads together, creating an opportunity for Van Quyet to shoot in front of the goal, but the shot missed the post. Hanoi FC also twice complained to Thai referee Songkran Bunmeekiart asking for a penalty but was refused.
In the 60th minute, Do Hung Dung entered the penalty area and collided with Giap Tuan Duong, but Mr. Songkran thought that defender CAHN had taken the first position. In the 83rd minute, Pham Tuan Hai was kicked in the foot by Ho Tan Tai in the penalty area, but the referee did not think it was a penalty.
Losing the final 1-2, Hanoi FC stomped with 32 points and lost the top spot to CAHN with 34 points. Viettel has just won 1-0. Thanh Hoa also has 32 points but ranks third after Hanoi FC due to 21 goals less than 29. Thanh Hoa ranks fourth with 30 points, still has a chance to win.
In round 6 taking place on August 12, Hanoi FC will be a guest before Thanh Hoa, while CAHN will meet Viettel in Hang Day.
