Qatar Portugal and Morocco form the final quarter-final match at the 2022 World Cup, taking place on the evening of December 9 and December 10.

The four quarter-final matches are Brazil - Croatia, Netherlands - Argentina, Portugal - Morocco and England - France. Of these eight teams, seven finished top of the group stage, with the exception of Croatia, the 2018 World Cup runners-up. The only group leader not to make the quarter-finals was Japan, when they lost 1-3 to Croatia in a penalty shootout. 5/12 evening.

The second team of Group E Spain also took a penalty shootout to lose to Morocco 0-3 on the evening of December 6, meaning that the "death" group of the 2022 World Cup was all clean in the quarterfinals. This is similar to Euro 2021, when three teams in the "death" group including Germany, France and Portugal were eliminated in the 1/8 round.

Only Group F has two representatives in the quarterfinals, Morocco and Croatia. Morocco, after defeating an Iberian team like Spain, will continue to meet its opponent in this peninsula, Portugal. They can become the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup if they beat Portugal.

The quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup is said to be attractive when strong teams such as the Netherlands, Argentina, England and France will meet the world's top opponents for the first time at the tournament. Before that, these four teams went to the quarterfinals quite smoothly, except for Argentina, which lost to Saudi Arabia in the opening match. Croatia is also seen as a higher dose reagent for Brazil, while Portugal will have to find a way to decipher Morocco's deep defence.

The current quarter-final draw could also lead to a semi-final featuring Ronaldo, Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, if Portugal, Argentina, France and Brazil advance. It is also possible that Ronaldo will face Harry Maguire, and Argentina will meet Brazil in the semi-finals. The final is also likely to be repeated as in 2018 between France and Croatia. Most of the scenarios in the semi-finals and finals have many interesting things waiting for them.

The results on the evening of December 6 also put Portugal second in terms of chances of winning the 2022 World Cup, according to statistics site fivethirtyeight. They rate Portugal's chances of reaching the semi-finals at 68%, reaching the final at 33% and winning the championship at 14%. Brazil is still the brightest candidate with a 77% chance of reaching the semi-finals, 51% of the final and 33% of the championship.
