Closing NUC 2022 in the North: The Champion Cup is worthy of 2 Pedagogical teams

After nearly 2 weeks of competition, NUC 2022 has officially closed the championship of the female Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) and the male Hanoi University of Sports and Physical Education (HUPES) in a worthy way.

NUC 2022 in the North has the participation of a total of 49 teams from universities and colleges, including 40 men's teams and 9 women's teams with more than 600 athletes. Most of the teams are located in the Hanoi area, only Vietnam Maritime University is the farthest team - Hai Phong.

49 teams are divided into 16 groups, competing within 13 days to choose 5 teams representing the North to attend the national final round in Ho Chi Minh City in mid-November.

70 matches took place extremely exciting and exciting, competitive and fierce. Tears were shed, partly because of sadness because his team had to collapse right in front of the gates of heaven or partly because the efforts and efforts of the athletes were well rewarded.

The closer it is to the playoffs and the regional finals, the more intense the matches will be because any team wants to be one of the five teams that will win a ticket to Ho Chi Minh City. Most notably on the last day of competition (November 2), both the men's and women's finals took place in an unbelievable and quite crazy way. Both were leading by the opponent with a gap of more than 10 points, but the female players of HNUE and the male HUPES all played explosively in the last minutes of the match to regain the victory.

Three male teams will represent the Northern region to attend the national NUC 2022 finals taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, which are Hanoi University of Sports and Education, National Economics University, University of Transport and 2 football teams. Women will be Hanoi National University of Education and Foreign Trade University.

Final rankings and individual awards of the 2022 National Student Basketball Tournament in the North:

- Champion: female Hanoi National University of Education - male Hanoi University of Sports and Education

- Runner-up: female from Foreign Trade University - male from National Economics University

- 3rd place: female National University, female University of Sports and Education - male FPT University, male University of Transport

- MVP of the final match: Nguyen Khanh Linh - Bui Duc Anh.
