Coach Hanoi FC criticized the referee

Ha Tinh Hà Nội FC won 3-2 in the third round of the V-League 2023, but coach Bandozar Bandovic was still dissatisfied, saying that the referee was somewhat favoring the host.

"The referee made a lot of bad decisions. Some situations were just minor collisions, but he blew us away, and the opponent was awarded a dangerous free kick. I was not satisfied and somewhat worried. worried about this," coach Bandovic said at the press conference after the win at Ha Tinh Stadium on the evening of February 13.

When he came to work in the V-League at the beginning of this season, the Montenegrin leader wanted to see the teams play fair and win with their ability. But according to Mr. Bandovic, the referee's handling is not as good as in the match on Ha Tinh field today "not the first time".

Host Ha Tinh entered the match poorly, but opened the score from the first stop. From the opening phase of the left side, Van Duc crossed the ball so that striker Diallo headed near the wall to defeat Tan Truong. However, in the 15th minute, Hanoi equalized with a great free kick from about 25 meters to the left of captain Van Quyet. The visitors then took a 2-1 lead thanks to Do Hung Dung's close-range shot.

In the second half, Duy Manh increased the score to 3-1 for Hanoi with a header, from William's corner. Minutes later, Diallo scored the second with a header, reducing the score to 2-3 for the hosts. Towards the end of the match, Hanoi FC retreated deep to defend the victory, but almost had to pay the price in the 87th minute. Defender Nguyen Van Duc dived to the right of the penalty area and passed it inside to Diallo. Center-back Nguyen Thanh Chung broke the ball, but hit Diallo and bounced back into the column along the Hanoi goal.

Coach Bandovic admitted that, since the host scored the second goal, Hanoi was under great pressure from long balls aimed at tall foreign players, so it was difficult to defend, sometimes not playing the way they wanted.

"Ha Tinh kicked very hard, this is a well-organized team. We made a few mistakes that led to two goals. Of course, Hanoi FC cannot always focus on stability, rushing to develop. We can't kick the ball with the same intensity as Man City," Bandovic added. He also emphasized that no matter how difficult it is, Hanoi will still play football with the enthusiasm and desire of a champion to try to win.

Meanwhile, Ha Tinh head coach Nguyen Thanh Cong said that it is normal for colleagues on the Hanoi side to complain about the referee, because "nobody can be whole". "This match is intense. The strength of the two teams may not be equal, but the reality on the field is very tense, there is not much difference. The referee's control is fine," said Mr. Cong.

According to the Nghe An coach, Hanoi has the best ball-playing players in Vietnam at the moment, so it is difficult to overcome them, requiring a plan to calculate. Mr. Cong said that, despite the defeat, Ha Tinh tried to play as best as possible and there were also some unlucky situations leading to goals.

Ha Tinh faces a difficult schedule, when the first three rounds are facing difficult opponents such as HAGL, Viettel and Hanoi. The defeat against Hanoi made them fall to 10th place on the rankings. Round 4, Ha Tinh as a guest on Lach Tray Stadium of Hai Phong runner-up, coach Thanh Cong said "despite respecting the port team, but will play fair with the goal of getting points".

Meanwhile, the victory over Ha Tinh helped Hanoi FC rise to the top of the table with 7 points. In the next round, the defending champion V-League will return to Hang Day's yard to host Thanh Hoa on February 17.
