Coach Park Hang-seo received a medal for his diplomatic career in Korea
South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that coach Park Hang-seo was awarded the Second-class Order of Korean Diplomacy, also known as the Heungin Medal, during a state dinner hosted by President Yoon Suk-yeol. State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the guest house of the President of the Republic of Korea in Seoul this evening.
The Heungin Medal was awarded to coach Park Hang-seo by the Korean government to "emphasize the desire to promote exchange activities between the two countries".
Coach Park came to Vietnamese football at the end of 2017, reaping many successes with a silver medal at the 2018 Asian U23 Championship, won the AFF Cup in 2018, entered the quarterfinals of the 2019 Asian Cup, twice won the 2019 SEA Games gold medal. and 2021, and also brought the team to the first qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia.
Under his rule, Vietnam has always maintained its position as the leading country in Southeast Asian football, and at the same time is the Southeast Asian country that holds the longest position in FIFA's top 100.
Vietnam and South Korea today agreed to upgrade their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, after talks between President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President Yoon Suk-yeol.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that Vietnam - Korea cooperation has achieved rapid, comprehensive and substantive development steps after 30 years of establishing relations. The two countries have been each other's top important partners since 2012, the time when the Strategic Partnership was established. President Yoon also said that upgrading Vietnam - Korea relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership will open a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.
