Coach Seoul E-Land: 'Van Toan was in a hurry because he was hungry for the ball'
Van Toan was a substitute when Seoul E-Land lost to Jeonnam Dragons 0-1 in the 3rd round of the K-League 2 pm 11/3. However, the striker born in 1996 was soon able to replace the striker Ronan in the 37th minute. According to Coach Park, this adjustment came from the fact that he felt the lack of speed in the attack, so he wanted to strengthen the player rich in speed, competed fiercely like Van Toan.
About Van Toan personally, coach Seoul E-Land assessed: "Van Toan is a striker, but he is in a bit of a hurry because he is hungry for the ball. However, he is adapting quite well. If the weather is warmer, Toan will probably still like it. In addition, I think many articles in Vietnam with negative content also partly affect Van Toan's psychology."
In a total of 53 minutes, Van Toan generally still showed enthusiasm but lacked good coordination with his teammates. His biggest mark came at the end of the second half, with passes opening up opportunities but his teammates failing to capitalize on their success to equalize. In it, Lee Sang-min's shot was blocked, and Tsubasa Nishi shot into the sky in an empty position.
Previously, Seoul E-Land conceded a goal in the 82nd minute after Valdivia's goal.
This is the third match in a row that Van Toan has played, including two matches as a substitute, with a total of 160 minutes. He has not scored or assisted.
Seoul E-Land is currently ranked 11th out of 13 teams, after losing two and drawing one. This made Coach Park feel embarrassed. "The development was different from what I expected," head coach Seoul E-Land said. "We played a helpless game at home. I apologize to the fans for not being able to bring the victory."
After the 3rd round, K-League 2 takes a break to make way for the national team to focus and will return on April 2. Previously, Seoul E-Land will have a match in the second round of the FA Cup against Bucheon 1995 on March 29. The coach, born in 1973, said he would take advantage of the upcoming break to reorganize the team and help the players return in better form.
