Comments on Barcelona vs Valencia: Build the top
Last weekend, Barcelona had a confusing 0-1 defeat at Almeria's field. However, the top position of coach Xavi's teachers and students is not so shaken when they still maintain a distance of 7 points compared to the second ranked team Real Madrid.
Returning to the 24th round tonight, Barca returned to the Nou Camp home to welcome Valencia and most fans believed that the Catalan team would have all 3 points to firmly build the top of the table.
Remember, the fighting spirit of De Jong and his teammates has improved significantly when they won 1-0 at Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the King's Cup in the middle of the week.
Everything is easier for the Catalan team when the opponent is Valencia's favorite prey. Back to the last 7 confrontations, Barca won 5, drew 1 and lost only 1 time to Valencia.
It should also be noted that the away team Valencia is in a period of decline in form when losing the last 6/7 matches in all fronts. In terms of form, head-to-head record and squad depth, Valencia was empty-handed before Barca was a predictable result.
