Curator Minh Thien won stage 19 of the cross-Vietnam tournament
Stage 19 from Dong Nai to Ben Tre with a length of 142km was exciting and exciting when there were many breakthrough attacks. After two consecutive stages of playing well, the drivers of the Dong Nai team continued to compete aggressively to escape the large group of Loc Troi Group protecting the Yellow Vest Petr Rikunov.
Racer Dong Nai, Nguyen Huong continued to make a mark with the victory in the first sprint. Later, the driver of Loc Troi Group Trinh Duc Tam and the driver of Domesco Dong Thap Pharmacy Loic Desriac respectively.
After successfully conquering the first place in sprint2, Minh Thien dared to attack to escape alone. The 620 Chau wheel in Vinh Long maintained a steady pace while the rear group, especially the Loc Troi Group team, did not actively catch it. Thanks to that, Minh Thien kept a distance of about two minutes compared to the following group.
The closer to the finish line, the closer the distance between Nguyen Minh Thien and the top Petr Rikunov is shortened in sight. However, this Vinh Long racer excellently finished first after 3 hours 25 minutes 19 seconds, reaching an average speed of 41,497km/h.
"Today, I gave my best effort and was very happy to bring the victory to the team. When I took the lead, I timed it with the next group and was also afraid that the crowd would catch me when I reached Rach Mieu bridge. However, when I got on the bridge, I looked back and didn't see a large group, so I had more motivation to successfully reach the destination," shared Minh Thien.
The other titles remained unchanged as Rikunov kept both the Yellow and Blue Shirts. The title of Orange shirt for the impressive Vietnamese racer still belongs to Nguyen Thang of Vinama Ho Chi Minh City. The white shirt for the excellent young driver is still in the hands of Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7).
In the team tournament, Loc Troi Group continued to dominate, Vinama Ho Chi Minh City ranked second and Domesco Dong Thap third.
Tomorrow, April 24, riders will compete in stage 20 from Ben Tre to Can Tho, which is 131km long.
