USAGolfer USGolfer Bryson DeChambeau set the championship milestone -23 and dropped six points from runner-up by finishing the last round with 58 strokes, at LIV Golf Greenbrier on par70 in West Virginia.

Before DeChambeau, the international professional golf world from 2001 to 2021 recorded only six players through the standard round with 58 strokes. This landmark, DeChambeau touched this morning 7/8 Hanoi time, with a 12 meter birdie stroke, right at the target hole.

With that finish, DeChambeau won the individual cup and $ 4 million while Mito Pereira finished second (-17). In addition to his own reward, DeChambeau received an additional $ 375,000 when the Crushers team led by him finished second in the team group with a combined score of -46. These two events are implemented at LIV Golf League tournaments, following the three-round stroke play format.

LIV Golf Greenbrier course is 7,152 yards long, including four par3 holes, two par5 holes, the rest are par4. In the last round, DeChambeau recorded 13 birdies, only bogey the par3 7 hole. This performance helped him win the championship for the first time since returning to the tournament system owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) in June 2022.

Before that, he won eight cups on the PGA Tour, including the major US Open 2020 and two consecutive seasons holding the title of "farthest" in the US first-class golf arena. DeChambeau is 29 years old, a California resident.

With the result at LIV Golf Greenbrier, he hopes to be included in the US team by captain Zach Johnson against Europe in the 2023 Ryder Cup, at Marco Simone, near Rome next month.

"My form is really good. To be called by Zach would be great. But if not, I would not be sad and certainly support the home team," DeChambeau said on Golf Digest.

The US will finalize the Ryder Cup squad on August 27, including six spots according to the scoreboard converted from achievements on the PGA Tour, six spots selected by captain Johnson.

DeChambeau first attended the Ryder Cup in 2018. At that time, the US lost to Europe 10.5 - 17.5 at Le Golf National in France. In the 2021 period, the DeChambeau team hosted at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin and crushed the opponent with a score of 19-9.
