Spain of French striker Ousmane Dembele is determined to leave Barca and is likely to join Chelsea on the form of free transfer this summer.

The Daily Mail (UK) said that on June 13, Ousmane Dembele refused Barca's last proposal to sign a new contract. This means that the Camp Nou team will lose the striker they have bought for $ 110 million.

Dembele joined Barca from Dortmund in 2017. Representatives of the two sides negotiated for an extension for the past year, but could not find a common voice. While Barca wants Dembele to reduce wages to suit the current financial situation of the club, the 25 -year -old striker wants to at least keep the same.

Dembele is expected to switch to negotiating with Chelsea. Chelsea's current coach, Thomas Tuchel is his former teacher at Dortmund.

Chelsea owns an expensive attack, but only scored 76 goals in the Premier League season 2021-2022, less than Liverpool's second team in Liverpool 18 goals and 23 goals than Man City champion. The three strikers Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic have not met the expectations.

During five years of Barca, Dembele often had physical and discipline problems. However, in the second half of the 2021-2022 season, when the former Xavi player returned as the coach, the 25-year-old striker really flourished. Dembele ends the La Liga season with 13 assists - the most tournament.

In 150 games for Barcelona, Dembele contributed 32 goals and 34 assists, winning two La Liga, two Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup.

In order to replace Dembele, Barcelona can recruit Angel Di Maria. The 34-year-old Argentine winger is free after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires. They are also chasing forward Robert Lewandowski. However, their proposal for a transfer fee of 30 million US dollars was not agreed by Bayern. Earlier, Lewandowski publicly declared that his time at Bayern was over.
