Djokovic wins the next 23 in Wimbledon
Djokovic did not lose a game of serve all match, successfully taking advantage of five break-points to finish the match after two hours. The Serbian only let Kokkinakis have a break-point in the last game, but saved successfully and won in the second set-point.
The 82% one-to-serve ratio helps Djokovic secure the serve game even with only one ace. On the other side of the net, Kokkinakis scored 11 points from aces out of 31 winners. But, the world No. 79 made 23 self-defeating errors, 10 more than Djokovic.
Compared to the match, Djokovic hit firmly from the first game, moved elegantly and created the most perfect performance from the beginning of the year with a scoring rate from returning serve up to 45%. He lifted his winning streak at the All England Club to 23 matches, stretching from 2019 to the present.
Kokkinakis is in the world's top 80 but has recently been more successful in doubles than singles. He and Nick Kyrgios won the Australian Open at the start of the year and were the 10th seeded doubles at Wimbledon.
Djokovic's opponent in the third round is compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic. The 25th seed lost to Djokovic on both occasions, most recently the quarterfinals of this year's Belgrade Open.
"I'm really pleased with the performance today", Djokovic said in the quick interview on the central field. "I've started well, playing it's definitely from the back yard and making the opponent move again, the wind that I can't give me the wrong idea.
The highest seed of Djokovic can be encountered in the fourth round is Reilly Opelka. According to the branch, the owner of 20 Grand Slam can fight Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals.
The potential opponent of Djokovic in the semi -finals is the third seed of Casper Ruud, which has been disqualified. Runner-up Roland Garros lost to Ugo Humbert 6-3, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 in the early match on the afternoon of June 29.
