Dortmund coach is wary of Vietnam match
*Vietnam - Dortmund: Wednesday, November 30, at 7pm, on MetaSports.
Due to the national league break to make way for the World Cup, Dortmund joined the Asian tour to test young players and promote their image. Before going to Vietnam, the top German team won easily, respectively, against Lion City Sailors (Singapore) 7-2 and Johor Darul Ta'zim (Malaysia) 4-1.
In the press conference on the afternoon of November 29, coach Terzic highly appreciated the Vietnamese team, and said that tomorrow's match is a good opportunity for his colleague Park Hang-seo to test the squad to prepare for the AFF Cup 2022.
He added: "I have watched some matches of Vietnam. I see the players are confident. It will not be easy for the Dortmund players in tomorrow's match. A surprise can happen because Germany also just lost. Japan at the World Cup".
Dortmund was founded in 1909, has won the Bundesliga eight times, a UEFA Champions League, a European Super Cup... They own the world's hottest stadium, Signal Iduna Park...
Dortmund is also strong in training young people, with many famous players such as Marcos Reus, Jadon Sancho or Jude Bellingham... Star Erling Haaland also chose Dortmund as a destination to hone before landing at Man City this summer.
Midfielder Reus followed his teammates to Hanoi, but could not play because he had not recovered from his injury. He suffered a partial tear of the ankle ligament, leading to a missed appointment for the 2022 World Cup with Germany. In the club's last two friendlies in Southeast Asia, Reus also only attended.
However, coach Terzic is committed to using key players for the match against Vietnam, among them most likely midfielder Emre Can and midfielder Hummels.
After spending the afternoon with his teammates to visit Hanoi, Captain Hummels was impressed with some typical Vietnamese food. "I like coffee even though it's a bit sweet, I like pho too," shared the 1989 midwife.
Immediately after the match, all Dortmund members will get on the bus to move directly to Noi Bai airport to return to Germany.
