France's Jumbo-Visma team endured an unfortunate July 17 when Steven Kruiswick was badly injured and had to go to the emergency room, while yellow shirt Jonas Vengegaard fell in stage 15 of the Tour de France.

According to Eurosport, Kruij-Swijk crashed after an accident with DSM team's Martijn Tusveld. The collision was so bad that Wout van Aert had to stop to check on his team-mate. Kruij-Swijk grabbed his right arm in agony and appeared to hurt his shoulder badly. Then, he was carried on a stretcher and then went straight to the ambulance.

Hours earlier, Primoz Roglic-runner-up to the 2020 Tour de France and three-time winner of Spaniard Vuelta A Espana-had to leave the race quickly due to injury.

But Jumbo-Visma's bad luck has not stopped. When Tiesj Benoot touched the wheel of his teammate Vingegaard-he was holding a yellow shirt-it caused both men to fall. But Benoot and Vingegaard immediately got up and continued the game.

Stage 15 is a flat 202.5 km journey from Rodez to Carcassonne, France. As well as conquering the second-longest route of the 2022 Tour de France, cyclists will have to race in Europe's ravaging heat.

The race is also hot, when the first place keeps changing hands on the road. At the finish line, Jasper Filipson made a stunning breakthrough, surpassing 2019 Yorkshire world champions Danish cyclists Wout van Aert and Mads Pedersen to win the 13th stage, finishing first in four hours, 27 minutes and 27 seconds.

"It's unbelievable. I know what it feels like to lose the Tour de France. I've missed many victories. But today, I made it," Philippe said after his first race at the Tour de France.

The Belgian cyclist missed the win as he finished second behind Van Aert in stage 4. Philip added: "I have been training hard and seeking this victory for a long time. I know my ability and just need to wait for the right opportunity."

Despite the fall, Vingegaard held the yellow-shirted lead in 59 hours, 58 minutes and 28 seconds, two minutes and 22 seconds away from Tadej Pogacar, the winner of the Tour de France of the past two years. Meanwhile, Wout van Aert kept the blue shirt with 378 points, while Cofidis team's German driver Simon Geschke kept the climbing king's red shirt with 46 points.

Today, the 2022 Tour de France takes a day off before entering its final week of racing. Cyclists will return to Stage 16 on July 19, with an average climb distance of 178.5 km from Carcassonne to Foa, France.
