Eagerly waiting for the National Final Round - National Student Basketball Tournament in 2022 to start

On the evening of November 11, the press conference to announce the National Final Round - National Student Basketball Tournament 2022 took place in Ho Chi Minh City. This activity marked the beginning of the most intense series of student basketball "arena" across the country.

With the goal of promoting the development of the student basketball movement, and at the same time providing an international-standardized competition experience at the school level, the  National Student Basketball Tournament (English: National) University Championship - NUC) was officially born.

The tournament is jointly implemented by the Department of Physical Education - Ministry of Education and Training, Max Sports Entertainment Joint Stock Company (MSE) and Viet Digital Content and Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent).

After nearly 3 weeks of competing with the qualifying rounds in the North, Central and South regions, NUC 2022 has found 14 best teams to advance to the national finals.

Women's content (6 teams): Hanoi National University of Education, Foreign Trade University, University of Danang, International University - Vietnam National University HCMC, Hoa Sen University, Ton Duc Thang University

Men's content (8 teams): University of Transport, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports, University of Danang, Danang University of Physical Education and Sports, RMIT University , Hoa Sen University, Van Lang University

Teams will compete from November 12 to November 17 at the Gymnasium of University of Science and Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

Also on November 11, the organizers conducted a draw to divide the table for both men's and women's content. 8 men's teams will be divided into 2 groups, playing in a round-robin format.

Meanwhile, 6 women's football teams are also divided into two groups, each group has 3 teams and plays a round-robin game. The first and second teams in each group will advance to the knockout round, where the pairs will compete in the semi-finals.

According to the schedule of the organizers, the group stage will take place from November 12 to the end of November 15. After a day of rest to help the players recover physically, on November 16 and November 17 will take place the semi-finals and final matches.
