Former world number one golfer Tiger Woods was accused by ex-girlfriend Erica Herman of breaking his promise and demanded $ 30 million in compensation in a Florida court.

During their relationship, Herman moved into the former world number one's private mansion in the Hobe Sound area. The property was commissioned by Woods to manage the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust, which he founded.

In October 2022, Woods and Herman split. Not long after the breakup, Herman sued the Homestead Trust and asked for $30 million in damages, filing in court on October 23, 2022. However, it was not until March 8, 2023 that the case was publicized on many American media channels, such as Golf Digest, Golfweek, Sports Illustrated.

Two days earlier, Herman had sent a written request to the court under the new federal personal speech law that takes effect at the end of 2022, to consider the possibility of freeing her from the "no-disclosure" obligation in the deal with Woods. Golfweek considers that to be the biggest barrier to Herman's ability to directly drag Woods to court later on charges of sexual assault or abuse.

In her lawsuit against the Homestead Trust, Herman said she was framed by the defendant, leading to loss of interest in Woods' own home. According to Herman, the house management unit asked her to pack her things to the airport to go on vacation, but when they arrived, they announced that the door was closed. She insists she is allowed to stay here for another five years after the breakup, according to a verbal agreement with Woods.

On March 13, the group of lawyers representing Woods responded in writing to the Florida court. They said the client had no agreement with Herman of any kind and was only offering temporary accommodation. "On October 13, 2022, Woods informed Herman of their separation and told her to leave the house. Woods also arranged for Herman, along with some money, to stay at a luxury resort while looking for a place to stay. move in," explained the defendant's rights protection group.

Woods began dating Herman in 2017, when she was working as the general manager of a restaurant he owned in Jupiter, Florida.
