England's captain Bruno Fernandes loudly asked his teammates to linger on the pitch to thank the fans, while Diogo Dalot and Antony argued after Man Utd's 0-2 loss to Newcastle.

When the final whistle sounded, most of the Man Utd players got bored and headed towards the tunnel. But Fernandes - who wore the captain's armband this match - was furious, asking his teammates to join him in the corner of the stands to clap and thank the Man Utd fans for following the team to St James' Park to cheer.

At the same time, Antony had a heated argument with Dalot. Yesterday, these two players did not play well. Antony made way for Jadon Sancho from the 62nd minute, while Dalot played the whole match, when coach Erik ten Hag prioritized improving the attack.

British newspaper Sunsport commented that Man Utd experienced a comprehensive defeat at St James' Park, both in terms of expertise and the image and reaction of the players. During 90 minutes, Newcastle created a one-way game when finishing 22 times with six shots on target. Meanwhile, Man Utd only had six finishes, with only one shot on goal from Antony.

In the 83rd minute, when Man Utd was leading 0-1, Ten Hag sent Facundo Pellistri to replace Lisandro Martinez to find an equalizer. The Argentinian central defender was not satisfied with this decision, reacted angrily, slammed the bench and sat down.

According to Sunsport, fans were upset when Ten Hag left Fred on the bench, on the day Casemiro was suspended and Christian Eriksen still had a long-term injury. Instead, the Dutch coach used the duo of Marcel Sabitzer and Scott McTominay, and only threw Fred on the field for the last 10 minutes. This adjustment did not work when the midfield of Man Utd was inferior to the mobility of the trio of Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimaraes and Joseph Willock.

After many missed opportunities, Newcastle took the lead in the 65th minute thanks to a close-range finish into an empty net by Willock. "Shoot" fixed the score in the 88th minute with a header from the striker who replaced Callum Wilson. If they took the opportunity, Newcastle had a stronger victory when they had an expected goal index of 3.54, compared to 0.54 for the away team.

However, winning 2-0 was enough for Newcastle to take third place of Man Utd itself with the same 50 points after 27 matches, but more than the goal difference. On April 5, Man Utd returned to Old Trafford to receive Brentford, and Newcastle was a guest of West Ham.
