ScotlandCeline Boutier set the winning milestone -15, dropping second place by two strokes at the Women's Scottish Open 2023, a week after winning the major Evian Championship in her native France.

Boutier holds the Women's Scottish Open cup on August 6, at Dundonald Links par72. At this tournament, she took the top of the table when she finished round 3, at -13 and dropped three strokes behind.

In the final round, Boutier faced pressure from many major winners such as Patty Tavatanakit, Kim A Lim, Kim Hyo Joo. However, Boutier maintained the lead, even with one stroke left at times. After the birdie on the 13th hole, she returned to a three-stroke lead like at the beginning of the game. However, after two bogeys through the next three holes, Boutier dropped to -14, continuing to hold the top of the table but by a tight margin. At that time, Kim Hyo Joo followed closely, finished with a score of -13 and became Boutier's biggest rival. Under that pressure, the newly crowned Evian Championship went to the 17th hole and birdie from a six-meter putt.

This finish helped Boutier to -15 later to become a winning milestone when combined with a close par at the 18th hole. Boutier won $300,000, Kim got $167,300 for second place overall.

"I never imagined I could hold two cups side by side like that. This achievement made me very shocked and temporarily lost control of emotions," Boutier said after lifting the cup at Dundonald Link.

A week before the Women's Scottish Open, Boutier finished first in the Evian Championship with a score of -14 on par71, thereby becoming the first native golfer to win and hit a six-stroke record for the most difference - second in the history of the women's major at France.

Adding the recent Women's Scottish Open, Boutier won a total of five cups over six years on the LPGA Tour, three in the last five months alone. With this achievement, she maintains the title of "the French player with the most cups on the US women's first-class golf tournament system".

Boutier is 29 years old this year, whose father and mother are both Thai. She graduated from Duke University in North Carolina, USA, majoring in psychology and economics.
