Germany's biggest win since the beginning of the 2023 Women's World Cup

Before that, the biggest victory of the tournament belonged to Japan 5-0 Zambia on July 22 in Group C. Morocco is one of eight teams to attend the Women's World Cup for the first time, while Germany has not been absent since the first five years held in 1991.

Morocco's players have technique and speed, but clearly show inexperience in defense in the first time participating in the highest level of women's football in the world. When the second half just started, the African representative grid shook for the third time. Taking advantage of the confusion after the corner, Klara Buehl volleyed inside the box to score.

Then, Germany got two more goals thanks to Ait El Haj and Zineb Redouani's own own goals from Morocco. In the 90th minute, substitute Lea Schueller set the score 6-0 for the European representative with a close-range cushion into an empty net.

The first victory helped Germany lead Group H with three points. The remaining match in the first round is the match between Colombia and South Korea on July 25.
