Once a player who was expected to solve the bigman problem for the Golden State Warriors, but James Wiseman made the defending NBA champion lose patience and give up.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Golden State Warriors traded 21-year-old striker James Wiseman to the Detroit Pistons as part of a four-way exchange.

The Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers are the remaining partners in the deal. In which the Blazers brought an old man back to the reigning NBA champion, while the Hawks took 5 second round picks to receive young striker Saddiq Bey.

This trade helps the Golden State Warriors save nearly $ 37 million in tax penalties for overpaying, including 7 million this season and 30 million in the 2023-24 season.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS OUT OF PASSION WITH JAMES WISEMAN

James Wiseman used to be the great hope of the Golden State Warriors, in exchange for the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft with the desire to become a quality striker alongside the available stars like Curry, Thompson and Green.

But the constant injury that followed Wiseman made him never play enough to meet the expectations of the team and the fans. In a total of two and a half seasons with the Warriors, James only played 60 games.

If you look further, Wiseman has never played a full season since leaving high school. He only played 3 games in the NCAA 2019-20 for the University of Memphis, then landed in the NBA and tore a meniscus in his knee in his first season.

Wiseman then did not play any games for the entire 2021-22 season, having many problems during treatment and recovery from injury. In this season, the striker born in 2001 was completely excluded from the squad and the rotation group of coach Steve Kerr.

He was sent down to the NBA G-League to try to regain his form in November, but was slowly gaining ground when Wiseman suffered an ankle injury and had to miss 15 games.

GARY PAYTON II BACK TO THE OTHER ROOT

Above is a video of Payton II swapping shirts with Jordan Poole in the Golden State Warriors match against the Portland Trail Blazers 1 day ago. The funny thing is that less than 24 hours after the shirt change, "GP2" has returned to Golden State and is Poole's teammate again.

Now 30, Gary Payton II is averaging 3.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game for Portland this season. Returning to the old home where he was crowned champion and played for 2 seasons, Payton will immediately be used with high intensity to fill the defensive gap that the Warriors have.

The other name in this exchange is Saddiq Bey, the player who was picked by the 19th round in the 2020 NBA Draft, the same time as James Wiseman.

Not many neutral fans know who Bey is due to playing for the niche team - the Detroit Pistons, but he is the youngest player in the team's history to reach 100 3-pointers in his career.

Landing at the Atlanta Hawks and becoming Trae Young's teammate, Saddiq Bey will quench the thirst for three points for this Eastern team (Atlanta currently ranks 28th out of 30 NBA teams in terms of 3-pointers per game).

If Bey goes to the Hawks, the person leaving is Kevin Knox, the "3-and-D" player will go to the Portland Trail Blazers. This year 23, Knox is averaging 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 41 games from the start. season.
