Ha Tinh Runners set a record at VM Hanoi Midnight 2023

Ha Tinh Club (HTR) will bring to the Hanoi night race 5 team racing groups, a total of 125 runners with championship ambitions.

This is the record of MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight for the number of teams participating in the team event of a club. Last year, it was Ha Tinh Runner who held this record when setting up 4 groups, about more than 90 runners, both official and reserve participating in the tournament. As a result, they had one team in the top 3, one team in 10th overall, the other two teams competed with the spirit of friction, finishing the tournament in 27th and 31st places.

Back to the Hanoi 2023 night run, the representative of the Central region expanded its scale and associated with Goya - a fledgling club living in Ha Tinh. Due to the large number of members in both clubs, the management decided to combine to form a stronger alliance.

With 125 runners, HTR divided into 5 teams and set clear goals for each individual. For the collective, the central representative built the strongest squad to compete for the championship. Three teams with sufficient strength aim to reach the top 10. The remaining squad participated in the spirit of exchange, learning experience and spreading the image and spirit of the club.

The final result lies in the efforts of each member. Therefore, the team encourages runners to practice, calculate their performance drop to have a personal record and increase the number of individual prizes at MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2023. "Compared to last year, this year the Ha Tinh Runner alliance - Goya added many elite runners, promising young actors, so the quality has improved significantly," shared Mr. Duy Anh, a representative of the club.

To realize the above goals, the club's management board has developed detailed training plans and separate tactics for each squad. The professional team including coach Thuan Nguyen (athletics coach for Ha Tinh), Mai Co, Nguyen Van Thuyet, Hung Hai, Hoang Than and some elite 42km sub3 will guide and support members in the training process from now until prize.

Despite good preparation, HTR considers winning the prize still a challenge because of the high competition. Especially when this year the number of groups nearly doubled, the teams have learned from last year's experience, selected members carefully, and changed their playing tactics.

"We define MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight as the most important and traditional tournament. The team category is a specialty of interest because of the fierce competition. This is the time for us to affirm our strength and position. The club in the village runs," said the team's representative.

"The club has the companionship of a number of sponsors, the training process is supported physically and mentally. This is a great source of encouragement for runners, a premise for good results." Duy Anh said.

HTR is a strong running group in the Central region, with a network of members living in all three regions, even abroad. Established for more than three years, the group has achieved many great achievements. Many members competed in domestic marathons and achieved high results. Two runners Nguyen Tien Long and Nguyen Trung Cuong won the 10km race at VM Quy Nhon and VM Hue. Phan Thi Tra is also the first athlete of the club to win the final third prize at the Aquaman Vietnam biathlon.

"We are proud to see our runners succeed in the past three years. HTR certainly does not stop there. We will continue to practice and conquer more tournaments, giving the name of Ha's flag color and shirt color. Stay out of international tournaments," the group's representative confirmed.

At the end of this year, they will compete with nearly 50 clubs at the MetaSports Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2023. Clubs wishing to participate need to buy Bib for members during the Super Early Bird period (ends on March 15). The group list will be completed by March 20. Sign up here.
