Haaland: 'Man City see the last two matches as finals'

Striker Erling Haaland was pleased when he scored a hat-trick against Burnley on March 18, and called on his teammates to maintain their form.

"This is the moment when the whole season will be determined. So we need to play well every game. Man City consider the last two games as finals. That's what we are doing and I am proud of it. that," Haaland said.

Man City are unbeaten in the last 10 matches in all competitions, including the last six consecutive wins. They raised the ambition of a treble when they reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, the quarter-finals of the Champions League and created a two-horse race in the English Premier League with Arsenal. The last two matches have witnessed the destruction of the Etihad team's opponents. They won RB Leipzig 7-0 in the second leg of the 1/8 Champions League round before defeating Burnley 6-0 in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

Haaland scored five goals against Leipzig and then scored a hat-trick against Burnley. The 23-year-old striker has scored 42 goals in 37 appearances for Man City in all competitions and needs just three more to break the record for most Premier League goalscorers in all competitions in a single season, set by Ruud van Nistelrooy and Mohamed Salah are holding. Haaland's scoring performance in the last two matches is 15 minutes 45 seconds for a goal.

"As a striker, I love to score. But my focus is not on the goal, but on finding the opportunity. When you seize the opportunity, your ability to score improves. Each Every goal means something to me, no matter which goal it is, against which team," Haaland said.

Haaland gathers with the Norwegian team to play Euro 2024 qualifiers in the next two weeks.
