Thanh Chung played in Hanoi FC since 2016, played 94 matches in the V-League and scored eight goals. He has fully acquired club titles, including three V-League (2016, 2018, 2019), two National Cups (2019, 2020) and three Super Cups (2019, 2020, 2021).
The role of Thanh Chung in Hanoi was more seriously considered after the departure of Tran Dinh Trong in the beginning of the season. Besides the defensive ability, the original defender Tuyen Quang also supports good attacks, even many times of playing like strikers and scoring decisive goals.
