Hearing the sound of "pop" still holding back the pain of playing, LeBron James reassures Lakers fans
Every win at the moment is extremely important to the Los Angeles Lakers, so they need to have the most complete and healthy squad possible. However, the purple-yellow shirt team is likely to miss LeBron James - the most important star in the squad because of injury..
The unfortunate phase occurred at the end of the third half of the Lakers match upstream from a 27-point gap against the Dallas Mavericks. LeBron in an attempt to attack the basket landed in a bad position.
Lying in the yard in discomfort and a bit of pain, the camera caught LeBron James repeatedly telling his teammates: "I heard 'pop'. Looks like something broke."
In the game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Lakers had a 27-point lead in the middle of the second half. When LeBron was injured, the Lakers were still in pursuit (71-75).
Miraculously, James continued to play and finished the match. He was a major contributor to the Los Angeles Lakers' victory against the tide of history. Out of a total of 27 points scored in the whole match, 11 points were scored by LeBron in the last half.
After the match, the fans saw the "king" walking very limply out of the stadium, which made the fans worried about James' situation.
“I feel fine. Obviously my legs used to be stronger than now, but in the short term everything is okay," LeBron James reassured fans.
“I know the importance of this game and don't want to leave the pitch early. That determination made me hold back the pain and stay on the field, believing that I and my teammates can come back."
“Me and the doctors will monitor the situation in the next day or two. Then we'll do the math," James concluded.
After the game, the team did not rush to the airport to leave, but stayed in Dallas for one night. It is known that LeBron James and his teammates will depart for Memphis on Tuesday (February 28) Vietnam time.
Wednesday and Thursday will be two consecutive playing days for the Los Angeles Lakers, facing the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder respectively. Both are away matches.
“Those are two games that we set our sights on to win. As for LeBron, the medical team will follow him closely for the next two days to monitor the situation," head coach Darvin Ham shared.
“LeBron is fine right now, but I will wait for official information from the medical team. From there we will decide his ability to play in the next two back-2-back matches."
