"Currently everyone is very energetic, their physical strength has recovered 100%. Learning from experience, last year's training was quite superficial, this year everyone has a more systematic lesson plan for slope training. In addition to road factors, last year's MetaSports Marathon Ha Long season, many home athletes, despite being familiar with the terrain, still failed to reach their goals due to harsh weather factors. "This year, the tournament takes place when the Northern region transitions to autumn, so it's cooler. The coastal roads are cool and airy, not as hot as last year. Prepare well physically and with favorable weather. We hope to set records at home," Thao said.

For Quang Ninh runners, MetaSports Marathon Ha Long is the key tournament of the year. The entire training process is to compete hard on race day September 10.

Runner Phuong Thao assessed that, since VM Amazing Ha Long last year, the mining land marathon movement has changed markedly. "After the first season, the number of club members doubled, tripled. The number of people running full marathons is more than before. At Cam Pha Runners, last year only 2 people ran 42km, this year this number increases. up to 20 people," Ms. Thao said.

To help members achieve their goals, the club organized a 6-week countdown event to the tournament. Runners competing in half marathons will have to complete a challenge of at least 40 km per week and 12 km long run on the weekend. Similarly, for full marathon athletes, they need to do at least 60 km, plus 20 km long run. In addition, the entire club organized a 29 km run on September 2, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.

"These are warm-up activities before the Ha Long tournament. At the same time, it is also part of the plan to prepare for the team race at the Hanoi night run in November," said Phuong Thao. speak.

Not only runners in the province, athletes from neighboring localities such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, and Hanoi also often come to run and interact on the road by the heritage bay and get acquainted with the slope of Bai Chay bridge.

"The training atmosphere is hotter than ever, everyone is ready to welcome and compete with runners from all over the country coming to Ha Long," Ms. Thao affirmed. In addition to training and professional preparation, Ms. Thao and other Quang Ninh runners will help runners from other provinces plan their schedules to explore Ha Long, help them book hotel rooms, and give them directions on places to eat and have fun. play.

MetaSports Marathon Amazing Ha Long 2023 takes place on September 10. The tournament continued to show its attraction when for the second time, 11,000 runners participated. Following the tournaments in Quy Nhon and Nha Trang, MetaSports Marathon Ha Long will improve utilities, increase the number of water stations, toilets, and medical stations. The system of navigational signs, instructions, cut-off time signs located at important points have been upgraded for easy identification. Currently, BTC is coordinating with the locality, completing the final stages, ready to welcome runners to compete with the best conditions.
