How is golf at the 2022 National Sports and Sports Congress deployed?

According to the plan from the unit in charge - Vietnam Golf Association, each province/city/sector selects 4 men and 3 women to compete individually and as a team. In singles, both sexes will have a stroke play over two rounds, while the group achievement race will be in a knockout match play format. In the individual table, if there is a tie in the first place, the result will be closed by stroke play.

After finishing the individual section, the golfers will compete in the team content. This stage has only 8 teams, each team has 5 members and gradually eliminated each other until the final. The seeding is based on the best combined score of three men and two women on the singles table, and the matchmaking will be on the principle of "highest lowest" – 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5. One point for each win, 0.5 for a draw. The team with the highest score will advance to the next round. If there is a tie, each team will appoint a representative to play the extra hole, appointed by the Organizing Committee.

During the competition, golfers have the right to use their own caddy but must register in advance, or ask the caddy available at the course to assist. All must walk, only use motor vehicles to move on the field when the Tournament Council allows.

Golf was included in the program of the last National Sports Congress in 2018, played on King's course of BRG Kings Island Golf Resort in Dong Mo, Hanoi with 11 teams, a total of 72 athletes. At that time, professional player Tran Le Duy Nhat wore the Hanoi team shirt and brought home the individual gold medal while teammate Nguyen Thao My took the women's singles gold medal. The two then helped the home team finish first in the men's and women's teams.
