Hue embellishes many routes before the MetaSports Marathon

To Huu Street is more than 60m wide and 2km long, which is one of the important routes of the April 16 race. This road is being embellished and rebuilt the sewerage system intersecting with Vo Van Kiet street.

Mr. Le Thanh Bac, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board of the Program for the Development of Grade II Cities, said that the unit will complete the tribute to To Huu and Vo Van Kiet before April 10. In the past few days, this unit has pushed contractors to increase their numbers and speed up the construction progress.

"Currently, we have concreted 5 culverts, are constructing 2 more culverts. After that, the unit will level the ground and spread plastic carpets", Mr. Bac said. At the same time, on March 20, the points around the To Huu roundabout will also be covered with plastic carpets and planted more trees on the sidewalks.

This year, the Hue city government plans to review the routes serving the MetaSports Marathon running early. The park along the Perfume River has been embellished and planted with more flowers. Some central roads are widened. In addition to the expanded Hanoi Street, Hai Ba Trung Street is also paved with stone to build a new pedestrian street. The city is speeding up the progress of paving the sidewalk of Le Duan Street, the entrance to Nha Do.

According to Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Chairman of Hue City, the central roads have just been upgraded and expanded, in addition to reducing traffic pressure, also serving the development of local tourism. As Hai Ba Trung route will become a new walking city for tourists, the walking path along the Perfume River will meet the needs of jogging and cycling to improve people's lives. The city also embellished and re-carpeted a number of routes located on the route of the MetaSports Marathon.

"After being organized twice, the MetaSports Marathon has attracted a large number of tourists to Hue, promoting the movement of jogging and health training of the people. Locals expect that the upcoming tournament will have many runners and guests. more tourism to Hue", Mr. Nhat said.

Daily jogging on the route along the Perfume River, Mr. Tran Van Phat, 34 years old in Vy Da ward said, he feels the appearance of the city is changing day by day. Many roads are decorated and spacious, the sidewalks are paved with stone, looking very clean and modern. In particular, the walking route along the Perfume River located in the park has created a good environment for people to run and cycle.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, assessed that the last two years MetaSports Marathon has stimulated tourism demand in the locality. He said that the 2022 tournament, which coincides with the death anniversary of Hung Vuong, has attracted more than 20,000 tourists to Hue, and the locality has earned more than 41 billion VND.

"Currently, the province's tourism industry has set up a number of programs, calling for travel agencies to do tours to promote and serve runners and relatives attending the upcoming MetaSports Marathon," Phuc said.

The running race "MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue" is organized by MetaSports Electronic Newspaper with the desire to open a healthy playground for sports lovers – especially running. The tournament took place on April 16 with an organization scale of more than 10,000 athletes from both domestic and international participating.
