According to coach Shin Tae-yong, Indonesia will have to change many positions in the starting lineup against Brunei in the third round of Group A AFF Cup 2022.

"The AFF Cup takes place with a density of three days a match, and we have to move between countries," coach Shin said in a press conference before the match against Brunei. "The schedule is very tight so we have to prepare well physically, and have to rotate the players."

Brunei have conceded 10 goals in two matches, but they scored their first against the Philippines on December 23. Coach Hendra Azam said that Brunei's goal in the match against Indonesia is to score. "The Brunei players are affected by conceding 10 goals, but we continue to improve. Our goal is to keep scoring," Mr. Azam said.

Indonesia played 10 matches with Brunei, winning six, drawing two and losing two. In the last three confrontations, Indonesia has won, scoring 11 goals and not conceding. In the next match, Brunei is considered the host but must play on a neutral field in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is expected that more Indonesian fans will come to the stadium to watch this match.

"Definitely Indonesia will help the audience feel interesting when coming to the stadium to watch the next match," said defender Rachmat Irianto. "We will try our best for the fans."

Indonesia played the opening match in the second round, beating Cambodia 2-1. They and Thailand have not lost in Group A AFF Cup 2022 after two matches, and the other teams have all suffered defeats. Indonesia and Thailand are also highly rated for their ability to progress, and the two teams will meet in the fourth leg on December 29 at Bung Karno Stadium. Coach Shin wants to keep the strength of the pillars to fight Thailand.
