Iran re -appointed the coach after six days of dismissal

On July 18, Ffiri issued a decision to re -appoint Skocic. This decision reversed the written dismissal of the Croatian military leader only six days earlier.

The reason for the "rotating" incident is that Ffiri cannot find a replacement. The 2022 World Cup will take place after four months, and Iran does not want any more disturbance in the preparation.

Skocic helped Iran to win 15 in 18 matches. They also won tickets to the World Cup in Qatar. However, Iran lost two of the last three matches, including the 1-2 defeat to Algeria.

Some players have publicly criticized this coach on social networks. The winged star playing for FC Porto, Mehdi Taremi said that former coach Carlos Queiroz did better than Skocic.

"There may be problems at the last time, but we will learn from experience. I will focus on the preparation for the World Cup. We want to prepare with unity, solidarity and motivation ", Skocic said after being re -appointed.

At the 2022 World Cup, Iran is in Group B with the UK, Wales and the US. The top two teams will meet the top two teams in Group A, where the Netherlands, Ecuador, Senegal and the host of Qatar.
