Jamaica athlete almost broke the 34 -year world record at 200m

MyShericka Jackson first finally finally 200m in women after 21.45 seconds in the 2022 World Athletics Tournament, the second highest achievement in history.

Jackson's 21.45 second achievement is only behind the 21.34 second world record by the late Florence Griffith in 1988 in the Seoul Olympic Games. Therefore, the 28 -year -old Jamaica athlete crushed the world award record, surpassing the record of 21.63 seconds of the Dutch foot Dafne Schippers in 2015.

Jackson was in front of her compatriot Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce 0.36 seconds, helping Jamaica win a double gold-silver in this content. The bronze medal belongs to the 2019 champion Dina Asher-Smith.

Jackson and Fraser share the two highest positions in the short run, 100m and 200m at this year's World Athletics Tournament. The 28 -year -old athletes are also most appreciated before the race, with the best achievement of 21.55 seconds. But this is the first time she won her personal gold in the world.

At the Tokyo Olympic Games last year, Jackson was also appreciated at a distance of 200m, but did not reach the final.
