James Harden continues to "unmask" the president of the Philadelphia 76ers
James Harden publicly called Philadelphia 76ers chief executive Daryl Morey a "liar" at a recent event in China. Recently, this contradiction has clarified a bit more.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Harden told the NBA that his comments referred to a request to leave earlier in the season. It seems Morey promised to quickly trade the former MVP if the defender agrees to activate the player option.
Contrary to the pledge, the 76ers have now stopped discussions regarding Harden and plan to keep him at least through the end of this season. Morey also asserts that just trading for a very good player or a trade package can lead to a similar star.
No offer was as good, and of course negotiations with the Los Angeles Clippers, Harden's favorite destination, also came to a dead end.
Harden will turn 34 this season and has now made 3 trade requests since 2020. Teams no longer value this star too high after disappointments at the Playoffs.
The NBA is currently investigating the deals between James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers. The organizers suspect that the Sixers have promises to violate the rules about the future salary of God Beard.
ESPN said Harden will still join the 76ers in September. However, he had a period of playing in low form before the ball was exchanged. The last time he wore the Brooklyn Nets shirt, God Beard scored only 4 points in the defeat to the Sacramento Kings.
Harden's future in Philadelphia remains uncertain, but Morey's habits suggest that he would never agree to a bad deal just to get rid of the 33-year-old.
Despite Ben Simmons' displeasure, the Sixers decided not to lower the price of this player and it took a long time for them to nod to the Brooklyn Nets' offer. That deal brought James Harden to the Sixers himself
Certainly the James Harden trade will not happen quickly. So even if Daryl Morey isn't a man of words, the Beard God will still need to be patient.
