Kaylynne Truong won two major awards of the year at the same time at the NCAA: Martial arts and martial arts

Kaylynne Truong - Truong Thao Vy has just been honored as the best player of 2023 at the WCC (West Coast Conference). At the same time, the former Vietnamese basketball player who attended the SEA Games last year also entered the typical All-WCC 1st Team squad.

Besides Thao Vy, Gonzaga University also has another individual honored as Coach Lisa Fortier, who led the Bulldogs collective to a record of 27 victories in 30 matches this season.

This is Truong Thao Vy's first individual title at the regional level. The 2001 defender has made huge strides this season, averaging 17.4 points and adding 4.9 assists per game at the WCC.

She ranked second in scoring within Gonzaga Bulldogs, first in assists. Across the country, Kaylynne ranked 25th in total assists and 16th in 3-pointer success rate, reaching 42.3% 3PT.

That's how excellent basketball is with more than 32 minutes of play per game, Truong Thao Vy also has an impressive academic record when she just entered the WCC All-Academic Team, achieving a GPA of 3.62 with a major in science - kinesiology.

Currently, the Gonzaga Bulldogs women's basketball team is ranked 15th in the US, preparing to enter the NCAAW Tournament in 2023, a tournament with a knockout format commonly known as "March Madness".
