Winning Nottingham Forest and six points away from the Top 4 in the Premier League, but coach Jurgen Klopp does not see Liverpool as a candidate to win tickets to the Champions League next season.

"Honestly, we have nothing to do with the race for the top four now," Klopp said after the win at Anfield. "We will see things more clearly in the next few weeks. For the rest, we have no influence."

The German coach was only satisfied when Liverpool maintained a winning streak, defeating Nottingham 3-2 and Leeds 6-1, respectively. Previously, Liverpool drew Arsenal 2-2, Chelsea 0-0 and lost to Man City 1-4. For the rest of the season, Klopp emphasized Liverpool's focus on each game, starting with a difficult trip against West Ham on April 26.

At Anfield yesterday, Liverpool took the lead twice thanks to a brace from Diogo Jota, but both were equalized by Nottingham with goals from Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White. The chase for the score ended in the 70th minute, when Alexander-Arnold provided an assist for Mohamed Salah to seal a 3-2 victory. This is the Egyptian star's 16th goal in the Premier League this season, and 27th in all competitions.

The 3-2 victory helped Liverpool rise to seventh with 50 points, six points behind Newcastle - the fourth-ranked club - but played one more game. "Shoot" will re-establish the nine-point gap if they defeat Tottenham at St. James' Park today.

Klopp admitted Liverpool had difficulty and could not create many opportunities in the first half because Nottingham was deep in the death squad. The 55-year-old coach also said that Jota did not have a perfect performance, despite scoring a brace. "That's what goals can do, when it gives you motivation and confidence," he said. "Jota missed a good chance, but the second goal was special."

Klopp is pleased with the overall performance, but thinks Liverpool have many shortcomings in defence. "I like to control the game and try to avoid all the chaos that comes from throw-ins," said the German coach. "So many situations where Liverpool can't clear the ball, but other than that I'm really happy with a lot of things. We conceded two goals too easily and in a game like this you have to control the ball. ".

Having been eliminated from the Champions League, FA Cup, Liverpool only have the goal of finishing in the Top 4 of the Premier League for the rest. After playing West Ham, Klopp's teachers and students met Tottenham, Fulham, Brentford, Leicester, Aston Villa and Southampton respectively.
