Laos entered the U19 Southeast Asia semi-final one round ahead of schedule

Phoutthavong Sangvilay opened the scoring for Laos in the 6th minute before Sisouphonh Ackhavong widened the gap to two goals late in the first half. Thanks to Athit Lounglath, Hans Michael Weiss's army scored the third goal in the 70th minute. Singapore pulled back just one goal in the 89th minute, thanks to Khairin Nadim Rahim.

Like Indonesia and Shin Tae-yong, Laos participated in this tournament under the guidance of the national team coach. Weiss worked with the Philippines and Mongolia before being appointed by Laos in early 2022.
