Latest SEA Games 32 basketball competition

A total of 8 countries participated in 5x5 basketball at the 32nd SEA Games including Cambodia (host), Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

In particular, the Lao team did not participate in the women's 5x5 event, but only competed in the men's content. The remaining seven countries competed in both men's and women's events.

According to FIBA ​​regulations, because the women's 5x5 event has only 7 teams, the competition format will be a one-round round-robin, scoring points. The team with the best record after this round-robin series will win the gold medal, not going to the women's final.

Men's content has a difference with 8 participating countries, divided into two groups (4 teams each). Groups will play in a round-robin format, with the top and second teams in each group going to the semi-finals.

The results of the breakdown are as follows:

- Group A: Cambodia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia

- Group B: Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam

This competition area is 20km from Phnom Penh International Airport and about 25km from the city center. Indoor Sports Center is divided into two main booths, in which basketball will be held at booth 2 (Hall 2).

In the 3x3 content, the Vietnamese basketball team had a historic victory in the women's 3x3 content when winning the gold medal, the best achievement ever at the SEA Games arena.
