Lille vs Brest Review: Finding joy again
Lille has just experienced a regretful match against PSG. Although they played away, they led the opponent until the 87th minute. Unfortunately, in the remaining minutes, Paulo Fonseca's teachers and students let Kilyan Mbappe and Lionel Messi score respectively, thereby losing the score 3-4.
This loss made Lille unable to participate in the group that won tickets to the European Cup as the target. Currently, they are 6th, 2 points less than the 5th place held by Rennes. In round 25, Lille will return to Pierre-Mauroy's lair to welcome Brest.
At home, Lille is in very impressive form, shown by being unbeaten in the last 12 matches, with 9 of these being victories, most recently they beat Strasbourg with a score of 2-0. On the opposite side, Brest is ranked 5th from the bottom with only 1 point more than the group holding the red light.
The last two rounds Brest were empty-handed, against Montpellier and Monaco, respectively. More broadly, they drew 2, lost 2 in the last 4 rounds. Away, Brest collected only 2/15 maximum points in the last 5 trips in Ligue 1.
