With money from the Saudi Public Investment Fund, LIV Golf Investments is in internal discussions to open the women's LIV Golf League, in addition to the male system that has entered its second season.

"We often talk about the women's arena during internal meetings. I have personally spoken with many LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour players. They like the product in action and always ask about how to participate. ", golf legend Greg Norman said on April 20.

At LIV Golf Investments, Norman, 68, serves as CEO, and on LIV Golf League as a special envoy. When he was still playing, he won 20 PGA Tour cups, 14 European Tour championships (now DP World Tour), including two major championships at The Open and accumulated 331 weeks of being number one in the world. behind Tiger Woods in terms of time in office (683 weeks).

According to Norman, the women's LIV Golf League will be promoted after the men's arena finishes the second season, expected at the end of 2023.

In fact, the new project has its foundation through the operation of Golf Saudi. This organization is part of the National Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is tasked with developing both genders by hosting domestic tournaments or sponsoring international tournaments.

Accordingly, Golf Saudi and compatriot oil group initiated the Aramco Series, present two seasons of Ladies European Tour. This group of awards attracted many stars from the US LPGA Tour, such as Lexi Thompson, Danielle Kang, sisters Jessica and Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, Atthaya Thitikul, Anna Nordqvist, Minjee Lee and Leona Maguire.

According to Golf Digest, Golf Saudi has ranked Thompson as the top target, followed by the Korda sisters, while LPGA Tour special envoy Mollie Marcoux Samaan has confirmed she is always willing to listen to any offers of cooperation, including from LIV Golf Investments.

CEO Norman always affirmed that this business works for the development of world golf, with unique products.

But with money from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), LIV Golf Investments, which is known to help the Saudi government cover up its bad reputation on human rights and gender equality, is in a "hostile" position in the eyes of the PGA Tour.

Last year, the men's LIV Golf League debuted with eight tournaments for the first season, each with 48 players competing for a $25 million prize pool, including $4 million for the individual champion and $3 million for the top team. All tournaments on the LIV Golf League are three rounds without elimination, meaning the last player also gets money, at least 120,000 USD.

Right in the opening season, this arena recruited nearly 30 stars from the PGA Tour, about 10 names on the DP World Tour. And so, the governing organization of the PGA Tour banned the "destroyer group" and fiercely clashed with the new system, in the form of "words of mouth" and the law. The two sides are suing each other in US courts on suspicion of unfair competition.
