Ly Hoang Nam lost in the semi-finals of M25 Lucknow
Hoang Nam was underpowered and made many self-defeating mistakes against the 510-ranked Ukrainian player in the ATP world. In the first set, he made three double serve errors and then broke three consecutive serves, thereby losing the match 1-6.
In the second set, the player born in 1997 won the first break in the first game, but was removed in the fourth game. However, Vanshelboim made many mistakes so that Nam broke two consecutive games of handing five and seven, before losing 3-6.
Equalizing the score seemed to help Hoang Nam play more confidently in the decisive 3rd set. But the Vietnamese tennis player once again made many self-destructive mistakes, helping Vanshelboim break through and win the final 6-3.
Stopping in the semi-finals, Hoang Nam won eight more ATP points and a bonus of $1,255 (about VND 32 million). Hoang Nam is expected to remain in the top 250 ATP and continue to participate in the ITF M25 tournaments in the near future.
Since the beginning of the year, Hoang Nam has participated in five tournaments but never reached the final. He in turn stopped in the second round of Challenger 50 Nonthaburi Thailand, lost three times in a row in the first round of three Challenger 100 tournaments in India before reaching the semi-finals of M25 Lucknow.
