Man Utd reach agreement with striker Rasmus Hojlund

Man Utd have finalized personal terms with Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund and are about to send an offer to Atalanta club.

After buying goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter, Man Utd promoted plans to recruit Hojlund, who scored 10 goals in 34 games for Atalanta last season. According to Goal, the process of negotiating personal terms took place quickly because Hojlund was a "Red Devil" fan since childhood.

The difficulty for Man Utd is convincing Atalanta to release people at a reasonable price. The Italian club demanded $78 million in cash for the 20-year-old striker. It is difficult for Man Utd to pay this fee because of concerns about Financial Fair Play. Therefore, the Old Trafford team wants to attach a player. It could be either midfielder Fred or Donny van de Beek.

If Atalanta does not agree to this plan, Man Utd is likely to have to liquidate more players to have more budget. This can cause delays in the deal. Man Utd do not want this because PSG are also eyeing Hojlund.

Erik ten Hag wants Man Utd to add a true striker, because neither Anthony Martial nor Marcus Rashford can meet his requirements. However, finding a high-class goalscorer at the moment is not easy. Man Utd also have an eye on Harry Kane, but Tottenham do not want the English player to join a rival in the English Premier League. Victor Osimhen was yelled at too high by Napoli.

Hojlund is an affordable option for Man Utd at the moment. The striker has a height of 1.91 m in potential form, and is believed to be able to adapt to the tactics of coach Ten Hag.

If the striker position is resolved soon, Man Utd hopes to recruit a central midfielder. Fiorentina player Sofyan Amrabat or Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka are possible targets.
