Man Utd was accused of covering up Antony's crimes
On September 4, female DJ Gabriela Cavallin released several WhatsApp messages, both written and audio, about Antony forcing her to keep the attack private. Cavallin is Antony's ex-girlfriend, but she believes that he was attacked many times when they were together between 2022-2023.
The evidence Cavallin gave caused the Man Utd midfielder to be investigated by Sao Paulo police in Brazil.
Cavallin's lawyer - named Daniel Bialski - also said that Man Utd leaders knew about Antony attacking his girlfriend, but covered it up. The female DJ declared that it happened on January 15, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency hotel - the residence of Man Utd players before every home match. In an uncontrolled jealousy, Antony headbutted his girlfriend, causing her to tear a patch on her head. According to Cavallin, the player grabbed her and threw her on the bed, then pressed hard on her. This behavior may have caused her silicone breast implants to move to another place, so she had to have surgery to return them to their original position.
Cavallin says Antony phoned a member at Man Utd to ask for help. Then someone named Daniele Bertoli assisted the 23-year-old. It was Bertoli who called two doctors to perform breast surgery on the female DJ. She believes that these two doctors are members of Man Utd.
On his LinkedIn page, Bertoli claims to be a player support specialist for Man Utd's first team, has a degree in sports law and is fluent in four languages.
Lawyer Bialski said that Man Utd's work was "deliberately concealing a crime". Because if his client goes to a hospital, doctors can ask questions about her injuries and how the assault will be revealed.
Man Utd representatives are expected to have to answer Sao Paulo police about Bertoli and his role in this case. According to the British newspaper Manchester Evening News, Man Utd believes that Bialski's allegation is "completely untrue". And Antony also denied all accusations from Cavallin.
Antony is left-footed and has played as a right midfielder for Man Utd since the summer of 2022, after the team spent $102 million to buy him from Ajax.
