Many changes at the MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang race track season 2
All distances of the MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang on August 13 start from April 2 Square. Two distances 21km and 42km will run from the Square to the north of the city. The remaining two distances run south. The running routes of all distances pass through the most beautiful coastal routes in Nha Trang, providing the experience of both competing and watching the scenery of the city in the early morning.
The 42km athlete starts first at 3 o'clock, turns left on Le Thanh Ton Street, runs through the Stone Church and the downtown routes, along the Quan Truong River. Runner then back to Tran Phu Street, up the bridge over Pham Van Dong Street and Luong Son Pass. The turning point of this road is located on the majestic Luong Son Pass and the finish line at 2/4 Square.
The 42km route has the first 20 kilometers quite flat. From 22 kilometers to 35 kilometers when running on Luong Son pass, the altitude increases gradually. The highest point is at 25 - 26 kilometers with an average altitude of 60 to 70 meters above sea level. The full marathon has 4 cut-off time points, respectively at kilometer 14 at 5am, kilometer 22 at 6:20, kilometer 33 at 8am and kilometer 39.5 at 9am. Athletes who reach the cut-off time after the allotted time will not be recognized.
To help runners compete at their best, the organizers of MetaSports Marathon Nha Trang have increased the number of utility stations. In which, the longest distance has two one-way water stations and 12 two-way water stations. On average, nearly two kilometers a runner will arrive at a water station. Health station is increased from 6 to 8. After each water station and medical station is a toilet. A total of 15 toilets are arranged, an increase of 2.5 times compared to only 6 stations in 2022.
The distance of 21km also moves from April 2 Square to the north of the city. Starting at 4am, the runner almost only runs by the sea on the road Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong - Luong Son pass. From any angle, any time, runners can see the dynamic beauty of the city at dawn. The highest point of the half marathon at kilometers 10 and 11, is nearly 50 meters high. Athletes competing in 21km will have access to one one-way water station and six two-way water stations, seven toilets and five medical stations.
The remaining two distances are 10 and 5km, respectively, starting at 5h and 5h15 respectively. The track will run along Tran Phu Street to the south. This is the main road of the city, where athletes enjoy the first rays of sunlight, weaving through the coconut and casuarina trees of the coastal park.
MetaSports Marathon Marvelous Nha Trang 2023 took place on August 13, becoming the second tournament after VM Ha Long 2022 to reach 10,000 people.
